(A short note from the Owner and CEO)
In 1989 my father and founder of our company, Mr. Michael C. Koursaris realised that the resources for the plastic and packaging market in the U.A.E. were limited. Eurogulf Industrial Supplies L.L.C. was born in a small prefabricated office in the industrial area of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
Starting out with a few suppliers from the machinery sector, Eurogulf started to penetrate the market of the Plastic and Packaging Industry.
In 1994 Walter Cornelisse, our Managing Director joined the company and brought with him more suppliers in the machine and flexible packaging sector. He left the company in 1999 and rejoined in 2010.
Since 1989, I worked part time as a secretary and Girl Friday, and eventually filling in wherever needed. I joined the company full time in 2000 in the capacity of sales coordinator, following up on enquiries and after sales. Needless to say starting at the bottom and being trained by my father was no easy feat.
Today the team has grown; new departments have been formed and the company has become stronger and has a concrete reputation in the market thanks to the company’s founder -
Mr. Michael C. Koursaris.
Since my father’s early retirement in 2007, I would like to express my gratitude to all our suppliers for their support given to me as it had been with my father. Together we are one team and all part of the Eurogulf family.
2011 saw Eurogulf’s first participation in a plastic exhibition. This was Arabplast and it was a tremendous success with 11 of our suppliers co-exhibiting with us. More on Arabplast in our Press Release section.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new principals to the Eurogulf team.I have no doubt that we will only get stronger and continue to put our customers’requirements first.
